Thank you all for your support during this primary election. Mr. Belin will work diligently to win the November election and carry the issues of the citizens to Congress.

Thank you to our opponent Mr. Howard Schug for representing his party and the people with honor and integrity during this race.

Robert entered into this race determined to see it through with a strong desire to serve and connect with people. Through that determination and a vigorous grass roots campaign he has seen it through. While reaching out to people throughout the district he has found that their concerns are the same concerns as the Republican Party. The people are concerned about business growth, taxes, jobs and education. Robert is very passionate about education and reforming the No Child Left Behind Act. According to one school district superintendent the No child Left Behind Act is costing his district over $250,000.00 per year to support a mandate that fails to address and resolve the problems of our educational system. This test does not measure the growth of cumulative knowledge of students. Robert has developed a student portfolio model that is designed to address these issues and to amend the act so that it provides useful tools and resources.

Federal, State, County and Local government must recognize that these four concerns are inexorably tied together and work together to resolve these issues. We put more money into education by raising taxes, business then move to more tax friendly states, workers lose jobs and we erode our tax base further. The long term effects will be catastrophic. We must make it attractive for business to come here, for business to grow here, to create more jobs here. We must hold the line on spending and live within our means. We must stop putting band aids on the wounds and address the core issues head on so that true healing and growth can begin. The time is now to let the people know that their issues are our issues and that we will not fail them.
